How much do influencers charge to shill crypto projects? New leak reveals all

Quick take:

  • Crypto sleuth revealed the influencer shill price list on Twitter.
  • The sheet shows how much Twitter influencers were paid to shill crypto projects.

Crypto detective Zachxbt, known for exposing crypto rug pulls and scammy influencers, released a report that allegedly reveals how much Twitter influencers charge to shill crypto projects. Perhaps not coincidentally, most of the crypto projects listed either ended up as a rug pull or a Ponzi scheme.

Zachxbt tweeted an excel sheet containing the influencer's name, their followers, and the amount they charge for the shilling.

He tweeted, “New influencer shill price list leak,” and added, "Not everyone on the list does undisclosed shills, but the vast majority of names I see on there do.”

The list has the names of 115 Twitter influencers, where packages range from $600 to an astonishing $35,000. The price valuation differs from influencers based on the number of followers and popularity. The influencers also charge $400 to a whopping $20,000 for a retweet.

The leaked price list seems to be from a project that had allocated its $120,000 budget and allegedly decided to spend $80,000 for shill tweets and $40,000 for retweets.

What is crypto shilling?

Crypto shilling is the blind advertising of a project just for the sake of promotion that involves a large exchange of money. The project is not verified to be legit or not by the influencer. The influencers blindly promote the project to lure their followers into investing in it.

The process of shilling is mainly carried out on Twitter and Youtube. The promoted projects have the highest possibility of being a Ponzi scheme, rug pull, or scam. The influencer who promotes the project holds no responsibility for it and continues their work.
